Amsprop teamed up with brownfield specialists Turnhold Properties in mid 2008 to acquire this prominent 5.1 acre site adjoining London Luton Airport. The land was bought and temporarily leased back to General Motors and is currently split between tour operator TUI and a private coach operator who occupy the site’s office space, workshop and parking facilities.
The site is situated at the junction of Eaton Green Road and Vauxhall Way, bordering the perimeter and within quarter of a mile of Luton
Airport’s terminal. Luton Airport carried over 10 million passengers in 2008 making it the fifth busiest airport in the UK. It serves as a hub for easyJet, Monarch Airlines, Thomson Airways, Wizz Air and Ryanair, focusing mainly on European destinations although with some charter services to other continents.
